| I did it, I went out there in the woods with the dog, and my bolt cutters, and I finally cut out some of the old bed springs out of the trees. Very hard work, many many roots grown through them, got a scratch, and ya know I'm gonna need a tetanus shot(ugh)but hey, that's how bad I wanted them. I shoulda gotten them a few years back when the roots weren't nearly so thick :D Now I'd love to see some examples of the bed springs crafts. Oddie made a few, I do remember that!
Thanks so much,Ya'll! Cherry/Kudzu |

| way to go kudzu, wasnt that fun? thank goodness for bolt cutters! sorry about you needing a shot! us crafters will go pretty far to get what we need when crafting! I have searched forever for other crafts made with the bed springs, this wine rack is all that I have found, will post a link so you can take a look, oh forgot about a post I read where they were used as a candle holder, sorry cant remenber much about it but the spring set upside down, and some kind of glass set in to hold the candle, seem a wire type of a christmas tree with a star on top, could be made from these. I will keep a eye on your post as I would like to know also I still have a bunch! oddie |

| Thanks Oddie!....Thanks Judy!...Judy, I put a link to your pic, I hope that's ok? I did find a few crafts, I was very surprised I couldn't find more, though. I saw some turned upside down(narrow end down) and used as wall pockets for dried flowers. A also saw some with rusty tin stars as Christmas Tree toppers. And a cute one made with a cloth primitive stuffed crow. The best ones were the ones Oddie made, and they come up in an image search( gorgeous, Oddie, I'm gonna be copying you :D Thanks for your great ideas! And Judy, those are as cute as can be. What is covering the bedsprings you used? I like it :D |

| I just love them all, Oddie! I had no idea the box springs had 2 sets of coils, so there's way more out there than I originally thought! How great is that! I have some thick ones, and some thin ones. They both bounce really nice after you set a head on them :D Mine are right near the ceiling vents...lol. |
