Hi everyone! I was wondering if anyone could tell me how to make the fizzy bath bombs?

Thank you so much! I will try these. I want to make up some baskets for gifts with lots of bath stuff. Last year I made the loofah soaps and they all enjoyed them. I guess you get the citric acid at a pharmacy, right? Could these possibly be colored, and if so what do you use?

Wanda - You can use colors that are made specifically for soap (available at MJDesigns, soap suppliers, etc.), or if you are just making a few and don't want to "go commercial," you can use the paste food coloring that is in the little tubs (at WalMart, etc.). You could try regular liquid food coloring, but I think you would be disappointed as the colors would be very pale. The paste makes really intense colors, depending on how much you use, of course.

Yes, you can get the citric acid at a pharmacy, but for any really significant amount, you'd want to buy it at a soap supplier or other chemical house. Buying in small quantities (at a pharmacy) is very expensive.

Thanks,Red Confetti! I really wanted to make these for christmas gifts, but not sure now that I will find the time. I may have to work on this project after Christmas.
