I've seen it on the side wall where they just went up like a standard 4" backsplash. I think it was a post Bill V. repsonded to with a similar question.

I had a corner sort of like that one. I tiled to the bottom of the cabinet and ended it at the edge of the top cabinet. I did the right side wall that way too. Then I ran a single strip of tile out to the edge of the counter top. In your case since you are wraping to the right and then left and around the corner, I think I'd tile only the back wall up to the bottom of the cabinet and then run a single row right and left and around that corner.

Actually, I offered three different options with pics to help.

I have a similar issue. I am using glass mosaic tiles and dont want to tile the entire wall. Is it possible to do some sort of step pattern down from the top cabinet and out? The other end of the run has a range with a side wall and i want both walls to be done the same. Sorry to hijack.

Thank you all for your responses and help! I think I am going to do what ccoombs suggested.
I will order extra tile though so I don't have to wait, in case I change my mind (me never!).
