SS backsplash behind bumped out BS rangerop.

I have lost my original post on this and I have a few more questions.

1. When I get the ss piece made I know it has to be at an angle going toward the back wall. It has to be connected to the range hood too. Then it goes down the wall. When it gets to the Bluestar range top, does it continue behind the range top another 6"?

2.if it does, what goes behind the bluestar? That 3" part where I bumped it out needs something there. Should it be stainless steel or granite?

3. If that small 3" x 36" section is granite, that will waste a lot of granite if it is cut out. Or will they make 2 seams...one on the left and one on the right behind the range top?

Thanks for any advice, peke

I also need advice on what to do with the wall above the sink.

We also have this wall. It is like the previous wall and doesn't have any texture on the wall. My husband forgot to get the texture people out before the cabinets were installed. Should we texture it now?

Oh that ugly beam...

I don't know the answer to your questions, but is this your missing thread?

Here is a link that might be useful: Your original thread?

Angie, yes that's it. Thank you. I forgot to look in the appliances forum.

What would you do with the wall above the sink window and the side wall? Should we put texture on it?
Any other ideas? Thanks

If you don't hate them in the kitchen as I do, you can have curtain/drapes for the wall above the sink window. For the side wall some decoration, maybe wall plates might look good.

Sena, I do have some antique bowls I could use. Maybe plates would be better though. I am sure I could find something that would work. Thanks for your suggestion.

There are modification drop lights for the ones over your sink. Many options and not expensive. Which i have done and really like the look. Yes to texturing the rest of the walls if there are other areas as large. You are going to need to paint as it is, so taping the cabinets will be needed. Texture isn't difficult, although I don't know what your's looks like.
