tieback for shower curtain

Hi
I want to get a tieback in my shower stall (3 feet wide) to keep the curtain open when not in use. It's a pretty floor, and i want the bathroom to look bigger.

I want to sweep the curtain to the right.

Problem is that there is no wall space on either side of the shower stall. It goes from wall to wall. Therefore I have to bolt the hardware on the side. I'm having a hard time finding something in the right shape, as the open end would have to face forward or back toward the right wall (in the second instance, the length of the hook would protrude into the opening--"not too attractive).

OR should I get the kind that's a flat ornament mounted on a post, where the fabric goes between the wall and the ornament? In that case, though, the ornament would face the left shower wall, and the fabric would hang over it, facing front. Not too attractive.

I was also thinking of getting a ring hook, or a regular hook pointing upward, and then just looping a pretty tassel around it.

Thoughts? Suggestions?

Thanks!

I think a nice hook would work. You could tie it back with a contrasting piece of fabric, or maybe some satin or velvet cord. the one below has a low profile so maybe it wouldn't be too much in the way.

That's really nice. Is that yours? If so, do you remember what it's called and/or where you got it? Preferable I'd like something in stainless, so it won't show water damage.

Can you mount a Command Hook on the shower wall (no damage to the wall) and use whatever you like to loop it on so you don't see the hook just the tie-back?

Hi. No, it's not mine. I just found it on houzz. Have you tried myknobs.com? They have lots of hardware. I bought cabinet pulls from them and found them to be reliable...nice customer service, no restocking fee, good selection.

Sweeby found nice crystal hooks on ebay:

Babka, I just e-mailed 3m to see which product would work best in this place, and they replied: "Due to the constant pull that would be on the Command(TM) Brand Hook, they are not recommended for use as curtain tie backs. At this time we do not have anything that we would recommend for this application."

DAMN.

writersblock: I love what Sweeby did. I will check out eBay. If I get something tiny and it rusts out, I'll just replace it.

Thanks!

If you slog through the whole thread, she mentions the name of the seller, someone in the UK who still had them a few months ago when I checked, but I can't remember the name now. Penelope's Decor or something like that.

Here it is. Pandora's Upholstery (although there are other sellers, too):
