Does anyone have a Nesco Roaster? We've been thinking of buying one but since they are more expensive than a crock pot, would appreciate any comments - pro's or con's. Thanks. Rae Follow-Up Postings: RE: nesco roaster Posted

I know dehydrators have been discussed recently and I have reviewed earlier posts. I have learned a ton. Thanks to Grainlady and others for personal experience, info and references. At this point I am still undecided between these two models.

I've had my Nesco for quite some time and have only used it once. Apparently I'm just slow to start using an appliance I'm not accustomed to using, Whatever my excuse, I would like to use it to prepare a dish for our church's 50 year celebration

Does anyone have a recommendation for a good quality electric roaster oven (about 18 qt), like a Nesco? I did an Amazon review check and some people say the Nesco brand is good, some say it's flimsyish or gets a little hot around the outer edges.
