I have a question regarding make-up air options. My city in the state of MI enforces the makeup air requirement for any hood above 400 CFMs, which I knew, but I was not quite prepared for the exorbitant price. I was planning for a 1200 CFM intern

I thought I read an off-handed comment on a post here - someone who was ordering a lower CFM hood because the venting was straight (can't find the post now....). Is this true, or is is mostly based on output of the cooktop? Thank you!

Not sure where to post this, but wanted to see if anyone else has been told that too much cold air would come into the kitchen from a kitchen hood vented outside. I live in a cold climate (NE Montana). Below zero temps and wind are a fact of life

Situation is pretty unique. There will be no wall cabinets, just row of base cabinets. 6ft on left side of the window, 6ft window with sink below it and 6ft on the right side of the window, with stove. Plan on slate tile backsplash all the way up.
