I've been talking with our local Bluestar dealer about Bluestar options, plan to pay them a visit next week. They usually have quite a few Bluestars in the shop, and some are hooked up for a test-drive, and have been great on the phone so far.

 Reliability and Servicing: BlueStar vs Viking 30 inch ranges

I have read the posts on the ignitor cost issue ($22 plus high shipping). Anyone find an alternative that works? None of the prior post had a painless solution. I have a bad ignitor and assuming they will fail again, so was looking for a cost effe

How is it to use the grill and griddle? ie ease of use, quality of cooking. How is the new oven. Is it faster? Does it cook evenly? Have you broiled? How big is the broiler and how well does it work? How hot does the large oven door get?

Some background... I've had my RNB30 for about 6 years. LAST summer it stopped igniting. Replaced the oven ignitor - no luck, still not lighting. Local BlueStar service company came out 3 times - never fixed it, won't return calls. I've talked to
