48" Front Door

Posted by gabethan (My Page) on

Any help is greatly appreciated! My architect put in a 4' opening, and I'm having a very hard time locating a decently priced door. It is 4' wide and 8' tall. Does anybody have any suggestions as to where I can find this moderately priced? Thanks!

Try the "window" or "remodeling" forum this is the "woodworking" section! Also try and have some sort of an idea of what your looking for in terms of style.

If you mean prced like a 3/0 6/8 , it will not happen. 4/0 8/0 is custom by most accounts and wiil bepiced accordingly. If I referred you to somone in my area , the shipping would negate savings. Contact local sources to compare price and quility.

Thanks! I will try the window section. I appreciate it!

I think you should look into these sites cabinetdoordepot dot com, cabinetdoorshop dot com, 27estore dot com they are very good for doors.

RE: 48" Front Door

Did you find anything?
That door sounds like the doors I see at reuse centers out of old mansions. They're far from inexpensive, but something might fit (or be retrofitted) that would be very, very attractive!
