Chicken Coop Plans

Posted by homersgarden (My Page) on

I have been online and have looked for free chicken coop plans to no avail. I am not a seasoned woodworker, but have some very basic skills. Does anyone have plans they are willing to share? Or could you point me in the right direction. I have some books coming from the library, but wasn't too impressed the last time I looked at them. I have four hens and they are currently living in an old doghouse. It works okay, but I really would like to make them a nicer home this winter. They roam a lot during th day.

Probably a simple and cheap option is to buy a storage shed kit. They come in all sizes, shapes, and materials. There is nothing magical about a chicken coop structure-wise. Personally, I'd make one big enough to walk in for egg-gathering and clean-out manure times.

Homer, go to buildeazy.com, then look thru their free plans. They have it on there. Luck.
