 o
old band saw

I have an old band saw made in taiwan by vontinental industries. Manufactured in 1986..model # KLW5693 serial #11683. It was given to me and I used it for small odd jobs..nothing professional. I made the mistake of grabing the plate that you lay the wood on to try to move it...and it broke off. My own stupid fault...I should have known better. Anyway...I can't find anywhere to get parts for it and don't know who sold it. Does anyone out there know any place to get parts? Thanks, Jim

RE: old band saw

You might be able to use epoxy and some metal bracing on the bottom to re-attach the broken section, and then cover the whole table with some aluminum sheet to produce a smooth and flat surface.
