TimberSoy Wood Stain? experiences?

Hi all,

We are putting together a loft bed for my son's room for Christmas made out of 2x4 and 2x6 softwood from this company.
College Loft Beds

Since it is going into a child's room, I am interested in using a eco-friendly stain that is less smelly. The loft company recommends TimberSoy. Anyone here have experiences with this stain? Any suggestions?

Thanks!
Kate

"I am interested in using a eco-friendly stain that is less smelly."

The smell goes away after the carrier solvent evaporates.

Try water stain (aniline dye) if you want to reduce the smell to almost nothing.

Ricin is a natural organic chemical.

Do not ingest it though, it is a deadly poison.
