Vintage Door Refinishing Ideas/Bathroom Pocket Door

Hi, I purchased a vintage door at a salvage place. After stripping it, I noticed that the center panes are stained and the surrounding is not. This is for a bathroom pocket door. The bathroom will be white, cottage/vintage style. Originally I was going to paint the door plain white, but also like some of the characteristics and rustic qualities, and don't know if I want to cover them up. If I whitewash this door will that be a problem in the bathroom because of humidity? Would like some ideas/suggestions from you experts. See photo in link.
Thanks!

Doors, woodwork, mouldings, walls are often painted in bathrooms. Humidity should not be a problem especially if there is a vent.
