Hi, I posted here and in the furniture section did not know which topic this applied to. I I just moved to the South Shore Boston area and need to go shopping for some new solid wood furniture. I just moved out on my own and I am looking for some advice. I have read this article: http://goo.gl/KajMUf and I am looking to buy some high quality furniture specifically a TV stand. Reason why I want decent quality is I bought a generic TV stand through amazon and it broke under its own weight. Now I have the typical furniture stores (Pottery barn, Jordans, Bob's, Bernie and Phyllis, etc..), but reading up those stores seem to be hit or miss. I just moved to south of Boston and my family is not around here so I could not use anything from them. I saw a couple mill works shops and I am wondering would that be the best bet to buy quality solid wood furniture?
