| Hello,
I have a pine bench that I want to stain dark to match 2 bookcases. I have the Zar oil based wood stain in Moorish Teak #123. --> Do I need a wood conditioner? Zar boasts that it has controlled penetration so no streaks, etc. But then it also gives an optional Zar tung oil wipe on finish wood conditioner for soft wood. Would you also use a wood conditioner when using Zar stain on pine? Thank you very much for your help.

| Yes, pine splotches. The only variable is how much. Conditioner minimizes the blotching. |
