| Updating some windows in my home, and I am considering changing the window trim to either birch or maple. Inside of the window is clear pine, and the baseboard moulding is oak.
I don't want to stain the trim, so which type of wood to use? Or shoud I go with oak trim? Thanks,

| So, are you going to paint the trim? Paint the pine? Base moldings natural oak color? White or red oak? Do you want the trim color to match the base board color? |

| If you are going to paint you do not need (or want) maple or oak. Softwoods (pine) or poplar are both good paint bases. Birch can also work but is usually more expensive then poplar. |
