I'm building tables with these panels in place , I'm cutting them from, in this case spalted sycamore ,I'm buying turning blocks to cut panels 3/8 X 2 1/2 X 5 1/2. The blocks aren't totally dry yet but I need the pieces , After cutting the pieces I'm putting them in the table but sealing them with the finish on the face of the panes that show and shellacking the inside of the pieces to seal them. Do you think I have to worry about them cracking. Ive built the tables to accommodate their shrinkage.
