Brand new stairs, railings and all that goes with iit

Hi all,
This project should be the last of a long second flor reno. Just want to know what we're in for.
The contractor has fired the carpenter and is taking over. He's assisted in one stair redo but not done it himself.
What's involved? We have old, old stairs: 10 stairs (and risers) and 3 winders. We took down most of one stairway wall to open it up so now we've got to put in the railing, spindles and posts. This railing will also turn on the second floor and extend around the atair opening.
How long and how much do you expect this little project to take/cost? Thanks for all you advice.

I can't tell you anything about the woodworking, but make sure to get a pro to finish the banister. I'm having a devil of a time getting it right on my own.
