I priced this sort of thing once, and found that the metal grille ("perforated sheet metal") was hard to source inexpensively, and my clients wanted something freestanding, so I was basically building a small table. Both these factors made them prohibitively expensive.

If I had to do it for cheap, I'd do simple frames with a couple of legs and rely heavily on the adjacent wall for support.

Thanks guys. I have seen both of those you listed amrad, not super crazy about them but are the best I have seen so far in terms of basic covers.
