Wood Carving

Are there any people who carve wood? I'm trying to relearn and can use some advice on where to buy some Bass Wood. I live in CA in the country, so going to my local lumber yard for fancy carving woods is a no go. Not talking about "planking" just some small blocks of wood at a fair price as I would have to pay shipping.

I think there are. I go to a woodcarving show every couple of years and there are always vendors there selling knives and blocks. I just don't remember who they are.

For $16 a year, you should subscribe to Chip Chats and read for ideas and ads.
