Advice about Reclaimed Wood Dining Table

I have a beautiful new reclaimed hemlock barnwood dining table that I love. I have a problem with the surface, though, because of the spaces between the boards and the natural grooves in the wood. It collects crumbs and seems a little unsanitary. I should have bought one with an epoxy finish, but I didn't because I thought it looked too shiny. I'm a little sorry about that now.
Any suggestions? Can I just fill the spaces or should I get someone to finish it with epoxy? The table is stained and sealed with a semi-gloss coat, so the wood is protected. It's just the spaces that are an issue.
