I am refinishing an old hutch and I have found that the original paint colour is a deep rich red. It was suggested that it may be oxblood paint. If so, how can I tell, and how can I work with it so I can maintain as much of it as possible? What is it made from? And what time period was it used? Any input would be appreciated!! Thanks!
