floating corner slab shelves

I'm looking to put some thick slab shelves in the upper corner of our new kitchen renovation, probably in a contrasting wood to the cabinets.

Can anyone suggest how to build them and how to attach them to the wall? I'd like them to look as if they are floating, but they'd still have to be strong enough to support the weight of dishes.

The only floating support brackets I've seen are the ones in the IKEA slab shelves, which have metal tubes extending into the wood shelf. I could cut one of the IKEA shelves down, but there is no way to do a 90 degree corner.

Look up 'torsion box'.
They are a light weight hollow box filled with a grid of structure.
They can be made more than strong enough.
They are normaly held up by fasteneing a ledger onto the wall that slides into a pocket built into the back edges of the torsion box.
