Waterlox vs. Arm R Seal

Posted by silverraven (My Page) on

Does anyone have an opinion as to which would be a better finish for cabinets, Waterlox or Arm-R-Seal? Is one more durable? Does one provide a 'richer' look? Is one easier to use for the DIYer? Can I apply either of these over a 50/50 Tung Oil/Mineral Spirits layer? How long would I have to wait to apply it? What would you apply it with, rag or brush?
Sorry to ask so many questions, but I really appreciate all the opinions!

Waterlox would be my choice. If the piece already has a base coat of another oil, use a coat of clear shellac as a binder.
