Hi, I want to apply a hand carved wood applique to a painted cabinet. I've seen several online that I like. But once I get it and paint it, how do I attach it to the already painted cabinet? Wood glue, brads, both? All answers welcome. Thanks.

The times I've done this, I found a 23 ga. micro-pinner invaluable. It leaves a hole so small it's almost imperceptible and I can shoot a pin through a toothpick without splitting it. If you don't have one, it might be worthwhile to find someone with one and pay them to do it for you. Glue on a painted surface won't do much, but it won't do much harm, either.

Thanks for the reply. I don't know anyone who has one, but I will check around at work. Lots of very handy guys there.
