Nail gun oil

I just got my first nail gun - a DeWalt.

The instructions say to oil the tool "use DeWalt pneumatic Tool Oil or a non-detergent S.A.E. 20 weight oil.

Sorry, I'm a Walmart shopper. What he heck is SAE 20?

Society of Automotive Engineers - it's just a set of standards.

Wal-mart carries campbell-hausfield oil for pneumatic tools. Should be fine.

Yeah, the CH is ok---just make sure the container says it is for pneumatic(air powered) tools---and not transmission fluid or motor oil---which has detergents in it.

However---since Walmart does not cxarry the nails for that nailer---and you have to go to a place that does---that place will have a name brand of oil---Stanley Bostich or Porter Cable---that I have more confidence in using in my nailers. Not that Campbell Hausfield is bad---I just feel more confident with a bit more research and company backing with the other brands.
