Oiling cutting board?

Posted by nwroselady (My Page) on

I just sanded the working side of a cutting board for the kitchen. Do I use in the raw state, or use some kind of nontoxic oil to finish it? What sort of oil would be recommended?

Mineral oil.

Vegetable oil can turn rancid.
