Complementary wood for countertop on cherry? Iroko? Walnut? Mahog

Having a tough time choosing a wood species..... we wondered if you woodworkers had any input. This is for a plank (not butcherblock) island top aprox 5.5 x 4 in a small room, so it's very visually central and imposing; an important decision!

The kitchen cabs are natural cherry. Ideally we'd like a teak look (have lots of old 50's teak furniture)but can't afford it.

We're afraid that doing a cherry island top will be too much, that we need a bit of contrast. Perimeter counters will be honed granite, probably whitish colored.

Considering:

Black walnut (too dark? too green?)

Honduran mahogany (too red? and a budget-buster....)

Iroko - supposedly this darkens to look teak-like, but the sample our hardwood supplier gave us is VERY yellow and VERY light, so it's hard to visualize.

Do you have any input? Photos? What looks great with cherry, that's not super dark? WE plan to use waterlox satin finish on it...
