My DH and i bought new appliances this year and needed to order a new deeper top cabinet to go over the microwave. THe problem is our cabinets are natural cabinets (Kraftmaid) and the new cabinet is, appropriately, much lighter, almost blonde, then the 6 year old cabinets. We sent the cabinet back (the shop ordered the wrong depth) but are wondering if there is any way to "age" the newer maple to make it blend more with the older cabs? We love the cabinets and are considering installing another wall of them elsewhere but need to solve the blending issue first.

Could find nothing on the kitchen web about this type of dilemma and thought this might be a better spot to post since you all are the "masters" with wood. Thanks for your help.
