Could anyone give me instructions on how to achieve a mocha glaze finish on maple cabinets? The cabinets will be newly built so all advice and instructions would be so welcome.

"mocha is a flavor, not a color" :-) Glazes are typically applied, then manipulated for the desired effect. You can use them to overall shift color, highlight areas, add a second color, or add some faux finishes. If you are trying to match something, then you must do samples and a little color theory will help. And lastly, without knowing what finish is on the cabinets, it's impossible to give advice. Some of the newer cabinet finishes will not take any top coat well, not even themselves outside a specific re-coat window.

I have birch or pale maple cabinets of unknown clearcoat throughout this 12-year old Arizona home that have severely yellowed due to sunlight. I am interested to refinish/paint/distress,etc. to walnut/cherry/weathered-gray,etc. w/o stripping/sanding/etc. I am willing to deep clean/take time/spend the money in other ways. How about Clawlock w/glaze? I have some sample extras to practice anything on. kmealy, others, please answer if you have had any success...
