| I want to build an arbor. I got sticker shock when I went to lumber yard. One 2x6x8 stick of cedar was $50. I need 16 of them plus 2x4s and costs of other materials. I love cedar but it is just out of price range.
Is there any other choice besides pressure treated pine? My budget is around $500-$600 |

| That sounds pretty high. Cedar comes in a variety of grades, perhaps you're looking at really good cedar. ;-) I just checked with Menard's, a large, regional big box store and a 2x6x8' piece of cedar is about $11. |
