| Are there any woodworkers out there that can give me expert advice on this.
We are building a home with vaulted ceiling in the great room which will be covered in T/G white birch. I'm wondering if we put a clear finish on it, will it yellow over time? Or should we use a light stain? Flooring in the room will be natural hickory, and trim and build-ins will be oak stained chestnut. Our builder thinks a clear coat would look best. I've asked this on the building forum, too, and they thought I should white wash it. I'm just not able to envision this. Thanks for your feedback.

| The finish is very likely to change slightly, no matter what the wood also does. |
