I just bought a wood hutch shelf and painted it up nicely only to find that there are termites in it. What should I do? Do I have to get rid of it or is there an easy way to get rid of the termites? Please help!

There are several ways to get rid of termites, but I would offer one natural way. Termites love dark places, so you might want to set your hutch outdoors in direct sunlight on a hot day for about a few days.

Thanks Juncolt. Right now I am living in Costa Rica, will the humidity be a problem once outside?

Seal the hutch in black plastic to run the heat up even higher. Cook them.
