Source for unfinished cabinet doors

Hello!

I would like to replace the cabinet doors in a small 3 season cottage in Wisconsin. I am looking for a good source for quality, yet inexpensive unfinished wood doors. Style would be pretty plain, like a shaker, and I plan to paint them. There are lots of resources online, but I was wondering if anyone had any supplier recommendations?!

Also, I was planning on using wood doors, but with no heat in the winter and humidity changes, is MDF a better option?

Thanks so much! It's going to be a project, but I think worth it!

I would check out Walz Craft in L Crosse Wi. Ph # 1-800-237-1326. Web site is WalzCraft.com THey will provide them finished or unfinshed. The humidity will be harder on your doors than the cold. MDF will praoblly be cheaper.

Rockler also sells doors.

The link is to a Conestoga Wood Products dealer who makes any type of door you need. I bought my kitchen cabinets through them, and have bought doors from them for customer's projects. The quality is top-notch, and they have had a two-week turnaround. They will also customize any style of door to match existing work.

RE: Source for unfinished cabinet doors

I purchased my cabinet doors from Taylor Cabinet Door Company. They have both "unfinished" and "finished" cabinet doors. The quality of the doors were fantastic and exactly they style I wanted and their customer service people are knowledgeable and go out of their way to explain everything I had questions on. I recommend them to anyone interested in replacing their cabinet doors.
