Curing & using bamboo for woodworking

I am not talking about flat board foot, like the hardwood floors.

I am talking about using green fresh cut bamboo for outdoor projects. How do I cure it & can I cut/mill it after it is dry or must all work be done before curing.

I have yard & garden projects in mind. I now use the bamboo to hold up tomatoes & bean vines.

I would like to know about earth friendly finishes also.

Thanks.

Bamboo does not need any finish.

Just dry it an use it.

If you hold it to shape during drying it will set nicely to the form.

If you need straight sections you can dry it that way and then use joinery to create the objects.

More details about "outdoor projects" will get more detailed advice.
