I saw an ad in a cabin magazine for Transformation stain by a company named Sashco, the ad got my attention because they were showing pictures of their stain after years of exterior (ab)use and competing stains such as TWP. My porch is stained with TWP 116 and I'm not overly thrilled with how short the stain lasts on parts exposed to rain/sun (I live in a mild area, no extreme sun).
Anyway, I was curious if anyone has used the Sashco Transformation stain and can compare it to competing stains such as TWP to shed light on how accurate Sashco's comparisons are. If you e-mail Sashco they'll send you a PDF with pictures of their stain and many competing stains after years of (ab)use.
Also, would it be an issue putting the Transformation stain ontop of a TWP 116 stained surface (Ipe wood)?
Thanks!
