Can inset doors be added to this nightstand?

I don't know how to post photos, but if -- night and day furniture + Clove add-on nightstand --- is googled, you will see a completely open table frame, except for one lower shelf, that hooks onto the rail of the bedframe and has no table legs on that side. This special attachment to the bed allows underbed drawers to be pulled out rather than be obstructed by the legs of the nightstand. As I plan to store a portable file cabinet under each nightstand, it would be nice to hide it with an "inset" door mounted in the front. Do you think this is possible? I thought that mounting the appropriate door hardware on the side with the legs, as well as using a rare earth magnet on the side next to the bed for added support and spacing, it might be possible. Do you think I'm really way out in left field on this one? Any thoughts or suggestions would be much appreciated.
