Chair Repair

I have some old, oak chairs that are in need of repair. They are a very simple design; the rear leg is one piece that's (now) screwed into the slab seat (no apron). Four stretchers that go from leg to leg. The single top rail that's screwed into the legs. Many of the joints are loose and chairs are a bit wobbly overall.

I'm looking for "best practice" suggestions, not a "quick fix" type of repairs. I'm somewhat skilled at woodworking, have the usual assortment of tools but don't have a lot of experience with chairs.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks!
