Urgent code question re: Vent hood exhaust and electrical box

I'm helping a friend install their new vent hood in their kitchen. Of course trying to get it in before the weekend...... Only problem is the exhaust for the hood, which comes out the side of the house, is right next to the conduit for their new electrical box. We are wondering if this is ok to place the exhaust for the vent hood righ up next to this conduit? The electrician, when asked the same question appeared rather uninterested in answering, so....

Any help is greatly appreiated!
