| Hi!
I recently purchased a digital timer to control external lights. The lights are currently controlled by single pole single throw switch. Inside the box it only has one hot wire coming in and one going to switch. The problem is that the timer needs neutral connection that I don't have. How do I connect that? I don't feel comfortable connecting this to ground for obvious reasons. It also has another ground connection as well. Is there another type of timer for single pole single throw switch? thanks, Prashnat |

| Yes, there are some timers that have a battery to run the timer and a hard switch rather than a semiconductor in them. Intermatic makes them but it costs few bucks more. |

| You can't use that timer. You need to find one that doesn't require a neutral. |
