| What size and type wire would I use.100 amp,270 feet between meter and panel.using conduit.planning on aluminum wire.any info would be greatly appreciated.USA RULES. |

| This would be determined by your POCO (power company). I would give them a call. They are usually pretty helpful. |

| You are getting your terms mixed up... Underground service usually means the meter and all associated gear are located in a vault below grade. Are you looking for the wire and conduit size to run 270' for a 100A panel, with the conduit to be buried? |

| No, no mix up at all. "Underground service usually means the meter and all associated gear are located in a vault below grade. " You sure do have some weird terminology and practices out west. An underground residential service is simply that. Instead of overhead drops and pole there is an underground "service lateral". Pretty typical stuff. |
