I have been having trouble with my refrigerator, it works fine for a while then it freezes up, causing the unit to heat up, thought it was going bad, but after changing it out, now the other one is doing the same thing. was told that it could be a problem with the outlet, or its having a drop in voltage/amperage causing the compressor not to work right. Does any one have any ideas ?

Have you had an electrician check out the receptacle, wiring, and breaker?
|
no not yet, but while i was in the garage, there was a short buzzing sound that came from the breaker box, but i am not sure what was trying to come on when the sound started. I'm trying to fix things myself, but not to brave to get into something over my head.

mrbill- If you are getting noises out of the breaker box, that should be looked at promptly. In a worst case, you could have a bad connection which could cause over-heating or even a fire hazard. You should have someone who knows what to look for examine the box.
