Wiring plug into fluorescent fixture

I bought some narrow profile fluorescent fixtures from Lowe's to use as grow lights. Turns out they did not come with plugs pre-wired.

So I have to wire in the plugs. I found a power cord for HD TVs that is rated for 600V, 10A (the ballast draws 800mA peak). 18/2 w/ground. But that will have a bare copper wire for ground.

The ground connection on the fixture is a typical green screw. It is very short. I'm not sure the bare ground can be wrapped around that screw as I think that is intended to screw down a typical pigtail with the round connector on one end. Maybe I'm picturing the 18g wire as thicker than it actually is.

How can I properly ground a bare wire to a fluorescent fixture? Will 18g wire wrap around one of those little screws ok?
