Subpanel Ground Question

I want to install a small 60amp subpanel in my garage attached to the house. I have to use steel conduit per local code to get my wires to the panel. I know to keep the neutral and ground separate in the sub but do I need to run an actual ground wire or would the conduit fill that role as it does with other circuits? If so, do I need to do anything special where the conduit comes into the box or just a lock nut like other conduit?

RE: Subpanel Ground Question

The steel conduit (EMT, rigid) acts as the grounding path. No need for ground wire but I suppose you could add one. Some guys like to double up on the lock nuts and some municipalities require it. Obviously you want to remove the paint from the box so there is good metal-to-metal contact.
