Switches/dimmers to match wood

Posted by oldhousegal (My Page) on

I am rewiring my 90+ old house, and am adding receptacles in the wooden baseboards and dimmers in the dining room (wooden wainscoting).

I am trying to find either brown colored or wooden looking switches and dimmers to match. I found some wood cover plates that I can stain, but none that match the configuration I need for dimmers/switch combo. Anyone know of a retailer- online or not, that might have such items?

I don't want to use Rejuvenation's push button type, so any other ideas?

TIA for any ideas!

Brown should be easy to find at the box stores; any electrical supply house can get just about any color you want... for a price.

Second that, sorta. Brown, White, Ivory are the three normal colors.

Admittedly, however, I don't recall seeing brown dimmers.

Try Lutron.

Here is a link that might be useful: Luton Maestro Brochure

Thanks for your help! The Lutron should work!
