Pull light switch went bad, I removed without paying attention to hookup. Now, I have a new switch with 2 black wires. The two coming from fan are blue and white. How do I know which black wire goes to blue or white? Tried once and kicked out breaker. Thanks

If this is just a simple on/off pull switch, then it doesn't matter which black wire is connected. There must be something else going on. Could you describe the other wires that you have available? Typically, the switch would go between the incoming power and the blue wire on the fan. The white wires would be all connnected together. But I would recommend you not just "try" connections until we understand what is going on. It sounds like you have directly connected the incoming power to one of the white neutral wires, causing a short-circuit and therefore tripping the circuit breaker.

As stated, there is a blue wire and a white wire coming down from the fan. The simple switch has two black wires. From the 3 lights there is a white wire and a black wire on each. Maybe, all white wires should be tied together and all the black tied to the the blue. It seems strange the manufacturer does not make a white and a black on the switch or striping to show which is which.

Yes, the three black wires and the three wire wires coming out of the individual lights should tied together. One of the black wires from the switch goes to the blue wiring coming down from the fan. The other black wire of the switch goes to the three black wires coming from the lights. The three white wires from the lights is connected to the white wire coming from the fan. It doesn't matter which of the black wires coming out of the switch you connect to what.
