Guys

Im running a new light switch for my celing fan. Before I hooked it up to the fan box, I checked voltage with switch on and that was fine, but when i switch the switch off, i get a voltage of around 1.6 Volts.

This is voltage taken between the hot and neutral lines with no load/nothing hooked to the lines.

Any idea what this might be?

too dark to trouble shoot now, so can do more in morning
