The only code issue may be if the outlet for the TV is close to the laundry sink, then it should probably be a GFCI outlet.

If the receptacle is in the laundry area it needs to be GFCI whether there's a sink there or not (as of the 2014 code).

Thanks; I knew about GFCI; we have them all over the house already. I know anywhere near water you have to have those. So every bathroom and the kitchen does already and I have some elsewhere even though they weren't necessary. Safety first!

I wouldn't run the laundry and TV at the same time as that might be too much heat/too little cooling ventilation for the TV and shorten its life.
