LED Can Upgrade Options

I asked this over on the lighting forum and really didn't get a good response. Maybe the folks here have some input.

We have 4" cans in our kitchen and we use PAR20 halogen lamps. I'm toying with the idea of upgrading them to LED. Obviously there a plenty of PAR20 "equivalent" LED lamps on the market. Halo and others make a "module" that includes the transformer and trim ring. Looks like the modules run about $25 more than the lamp alone. If it matters, we're not planning on using a dimmer.

What's the $25 buy me?

I don't think I understand your question. Didn't you just tell us what the $25 buys?

I guess I didn't make myself clear enough. Home Depot has a Phillips PAR20 equivalent lamp for about $20. They also have a Halo "module" for about $45.

So what's the extra $25 buy me?
