GFI Breaker Box Fuse Question

I've got an outdoor electrical box with GFI outlets running to my pond to run my pump and an LED rope light. I've had this set-up for about ten years. We've had a lot of rain lately and moisture got into the rope light and tripped the outlet and the 20 amp breaker at the box. This used to happen more frequently when I was using outdoor "Christmas lights" but when it did, only the GFI was tripped. And, after a few "trips" I'd have to replace the GFI outlet.

What about this time? (It's happened twice.) Is the GFI bad even though it re-sets? Do both need replacing, the GFI and breaker?

TIA for any suggestions.
